Terms.

The agreement between you and Vigil Guard, in the shortest form that the law lets us write it.

The service

Vigil Guard provides a residential safety membership: an in-app panic switch that places a call to Australian emergency services on your behalf, a parallel call tree to your nominated contacts, and (on Patrol and Estate tiers) opt-in private security drive-by patrols.

What we are not

We are not a replacement for triple zero. We do not provide on-site response, guarding, intervention, or armed response. Our operators do not enter premises. If your situation requires immediate police, ambulance, or fire response, dial 000 yourself if you are able.

Membership and billing

Billed monthly in advance. Cancel any time from the app; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial months. Pricing may change with 30 days' notice.

Acceptable use

The panic switch is for genuine personal emergencies. Repeated false activations may result in suspension. Misuse that wastes emergency-services resources is unlawful and may be reported.

Liability

Vigil Guard's services rely on functioning mobile networks, GPS, and third-party providers. We take reasonable care, but we cannot guarantee the absence of outages. To the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, our liability is limited to the value of the most recent membership payment.
